Haas Cobot

Haas cobot kits are fully integrated, plug- and-play, collaborative robots for Haas machines. Each system is controlled entirely from the Haas control when connected to the machine’s electrical interface box. Includes: 6-axis cobot, software interface for direct control through the Haas machine, teach pendant and cobot controller, safety light curtain, and all necessary electrical hardware to interface directly with the Haas control. 

Light Curtains

For added safety, each kit features a 2-meter-tall, 3-sided light curtain system, and all necessary mounting hardware and cables for installation. The cobot and machine will run as normal, unless the light curtain is broken by an object or person. If the light curtain is broken, the cobot will stop operation, while the machine continues to finish its cycle. 

Table & Templates

Each machine ready kit includes a heavy-duty parts table that provides plenty of space for staging raw material and finished parts. The included templates accommodate a variety of part sizes, and feature an accurate grid pattern and solid hard stops to ensure repeatable part locations, and reduce misloads. 

Pneumatic
Grippers

____________________________

The dual grippers* allow the cobot to pick up raw stock with one gripper and offload a finished part with the other, decreasing machine idle time. Having the cobot complete the process while the machine is running increases productivity and reduces overall cycle time. 

*The HC5 has a single gripper.

Adjustable
Pedestal

Easily and quickly adjust the height of the cobot for better reach, depending on your application. The kit includes a sturdy telescoping stand capable of extending
to 36" (914mm), or collapsing to 24" (610mm). 
 

Part Flip
Station

A part flip station adjacent to the parts table provides a convenient location for the cobot to place parts and then regrip (flip) them for machining the other side, to simplify 2nd-op automation. 

 

Temporary Mounting
Base

The wood pallet included with each cobot package* is a great way to prove out your cell layout. Deciding where to mount each piece may require some experimentation to optimize your concept, and the wood pallet makes adjusting the components easy. Once you’re satisfied with the layout, we recommend mounting everything more permanently to the shop floor.

Mounting Hardware & Cables

These kits are plug-and-play systems with the Haas control. All required mounting hardware is included, such as lag screws and washers. Also, all necessary cables and connections for the cobot to operate with the Haas control are included.


 

Anchoring Hardware

Anchoring your cobot to a solid foundation helps prevent unwanted movement and ensure optimum performance of your automation cell. The included anchoring kit contains a drill, wire brush, anchors, setting tool, and all the hardware required to provide a strong and rigid connection to your shop floor.
