    SLANT-BED DESIGN AND BMT65 TURRET

    Haas SB Series box way lathes feature a true slant-bed design that provides excellent rigidity and thermal stability, as well as efficient chip evacuation. The slant bed also allows generous X-axis travel in a smaller footprint, and provides a sturdy base to support the turret along the entire Z-axis. Two-axis models have a 30° slant bed; Y-axis models have a 30° slant bed with a 30° Y-axis wedge angle.

    Each SB Series lathe is equipped with a robust 12-station BMT65 turret that accepts industry-standard base-mount tooling. Y-axis models also accept axial and radial driven live tools for secondary milling, drilling, and tapping operations.
