SPINDLES

The 3-axis Haas HDC-3 is equipped with a 7500-rpm inline direct-drive 50-taper spindle driven by a 60 hp (44.7 kW) vector drive system. For higher cutting speeds and faster material removal, an optional 10,000-rpm inline spindle is available.

The 5-axis Haas HDC-3-5AX is equipped with an articulating spindle head fitted with a powerful, 6000-rpm, HSK-A100 integral-motor spindle. The dual-axis head provides ±245 degrees of C-axis rotation and ±120 degrees of B-axis tilt, for undercuts, complex contouring, and multi-sided machining. An optional 10,000-rpm spindle is available for higher cutting speeds and surface feedrates.

TOOL CHANGER

Tool capacity needs can vary by the job or process. Haas double-column machines come standard with a Haas-built 50+1 side-mount tool changer. This rugged, dependable design is manufactured in-house to ensure long life and maintenance-free operation.
