FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - ANAHEIM

Job Summary

HFO-Anaheim, is seeking highly motivated field service technicians (entry level + experienced) to install, troubleshoot, and repair Haas CNC machine tools within our exclusive territory of 11 counties in Southern and Central California. The ideal candidate must have great communication skills and the ability to work independently. Candidates must live in or be willing to move to the Orange County and/or surrounding area(s). This position may also require some limited travel throughout Southern and Central California.


Job Qualification:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Haas Certified - This can be achieved via on-the-job training if candidate possesses ample practical industry knowledge and experience.
Knowledge of mechanical repair practices.
Knowledge of electrical repair practices.
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of basic machine design and operation.
Ability to read and understand measurement gauges.
Ability to read manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial equipment or automotive repair and maintenance.
Proficiency with Windows based computers and Microsoft products.
Must be willing to travel on an "as needed" basis.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Valid Driver's License Safe, lawful driving practices.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate must be customer oriented, conscientious and career minded as well as organized and possessing excellent people skills. Essential Responsibilities
 
The CNC Engineer needs to have strong mechanical and electrical proficiency, to be able to troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment. This position reports directly to the Service Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Traveling to customer sites to install, fix, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls for customer's organizations (Company provided vehicle & gas for travel paid for by the company)
  • Using on-line technical documents, manuals and vendor resources to research machine issues
  • Ensuring accurate documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer in regards to status of machine issues, repairs, and installation
  • Promoting and performing preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and conducting after-sales technical support and training
  • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
  • Training in CNC repair and Haas equipment is part of the on-boarding process, with factory certification within the first year.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is required. 
  • Software experience, like Microsoft office, is a plus (this position does require the use of a laptop, smart phone and various software applications) 
  • Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills are a must. 
  • The CNC Technician must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, regularly lifting 40-50 pounds. 

This position requires flexible hours and frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory. You will be dispatched each day from your home, and the travel to customer's sites to work.
