FEMSO Industrie is a company specializing in the machining of tools and mechanical parts for several sectors of activity, such as aeronautics, motorsports, and the electronics industry, since 1998

The Coronavirus crisis hit this company hard (like many others in this sector), but Gilles Verhelst, its leader, chose to act in this fight against the pandemic by inventing and producing two versions of protective visor kits: one adaptable on caps and helmets, the other to be positioned directly on the head.

Tested by the order of doctors in Occitania, the innovative visor also has the advantage of being able to be worn with a mask and glasses, and will allow workers, now confined, to return to work safely.

Inspired by the experience of his wife working in the medical field, Verhelst found a way to help the nursing staff, while maintaining an activity for his business and its 12 employees.

Five factories in the region have also resumed work, contributing to the production of “Kit Respire FEMSO.”

Thanks to the support of the French Haas Factory Outlet, PERFORMER CNC, who provided FEMSO Industrie with a VF-4SS machining center, more than 1000 visors are produced every day.
